These terms govern your use of GymNearMe (the "Service"), available at gymnearme.co.za. By using the Service you agree to these terms.
GymNearMe is an online directory that lists gyms, studios and health clubs so users can discover and compare them. We are a directory and introduction service only — we do not own, operate or control the gyms listed, and we are not a party to any membership agreement you enter into with a gym.
You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to:
You can sign in to GymNearMe using a third-party identity provider such as Google ("Sign in with Google"). When you do, you authorise us to receive basic profile information (your name, email address and profile image) to create and manage your account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that occurs under it. We handle this information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Listing information is provided by gym owners or compiled by us and may change without notice. We take reasonable steps to verify listings marked "Verified", but we do not guarantee the accuracy, pricing, availability or quality of any gym. Reviews reflect the opinions of their authors, not of GymNearMe. We may moderate, edit or remove content that breaches these terms.
If you submit or claim a listing, you warrant that you are authorised to do so and that the information you provide is accurate and not misleading. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, format and promote your listing content across the Service and in search results.
Any membership, trial, booking or payment is a matter strictly between you and the gym. GymNearMe is not responsible for the fulfilment, refund or cancellation of any arrangement made with a gym.
Gym owners may buy paid listing plans through Peach Payments. Paid listing plans are one-off charges for the stated billing period unless we expressly offer recurring billing in writing. Premium placement, verified badges and lead-inbox access begin only after payment is confirmed by the payment provider.
Unless a plan page states otherwise, paid listing fees are non-refundable once the paid period has started, except where required by South African law or where we are unable to provide the paid directory service. Refund requests must be sent to billing@gymnearme.co.za with the gym name, account email and payment reference.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. Exercise carries inherent risk; always consult a medical professional before starting a new training programme.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GymNearMe will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your dealings with a gym listed on the Service.
You may request account deletion from your dashboard. Deleting an owner account removes sign-in access and unclaims owned listings so they can be verified again. We may retain limited records where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or billing records.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where changes are material, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have exclusive jurisdiction.
